Recap – SPIEL 2024 – The madness
Day 1 after SPIEL 2024.
We were able to spend four wonderful days with you at the SPIEL, are putting our feet up today and will then catch up on all the outstanding work to get back into our normal rhythm.
But what kind of madness was that this year?
Let’s start at the very beginning. With setting up the exhibition stand.
We know that we will certainly need more space for you and ourselves next year, because our systems are constantly growing and so that we can fulfill all your wishes at SPIEL as best we can, we are of course hauling a large part of our warehouse to SPIEL. And that takes up space! Our exhibition stand has served us for many years, although setting it up takes a lot of time and is not without its problems. But we are a well-rehearsed team 3
Once the exhibition stand is up and running, everyone is happy and we can turn our attention to the demo tables, because we want to show visitors to SPIEL what great game systems we have come up with. Our tables were occupied all the time, so we used the Tianyu demo board from Asgard Aschaffenburg to give two demos on one board at the same time .
Our already well-known Ascending Fate demo table was very popular, so that the entire day was already reserved with appointments in the morning.
Regardless of whether the demo tables were occupied, we always had an eye out for interested people standing around, or the odd casual chat with the community. And if not, we took the time after the demo.
We made a demo table available to Denis from DICED on Saturday so that he could give demos of DICED the Game. Of course, Denis and Zimty, the cooperation miniatures between Freebooter Miniatures and DICED, which can be used for both DICED the Game and Freebooter’s Fate, could not be missing. The two miniatures (especially Zimty, ehm..) were also (alongside the new Tianyu team) a big hit at the sales counter.
Fortunately, we had our dear Ramon (De Tinnen Roos) close at hand, as this meant that we were able to print and bag two more supplies. Nobody should go away empty-handed. Many thanks at this point <3
But Denis wasn’t the only celebrity from the tabletop scene that we had the pleasure of welcoming to our stand for an extended period of time. We were also able to recommend Freebooter’s Fate to Brent from Goobertown Hobbies. Here you can see Werner, Brent and Ramon

And we couldn’t have managed these four days at the fair and the preparations without such a great team
We hope you enjoyed your time with us in the corner. We had a wonderful SPIEL with great encounters, conversations and experiences. We laughed a lot but also worked hard. But you also made it very easy for us with your great feedback.
We thank you for your support and look forward to the next trade fairs, events and years to come.
We still have so much to do
Your team from Freebooter Miniatures
